Important changes lie ahead in the alarm protection industry
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure our clients are kept updated on the latest industry announcements, we want to let you know about important changes that lie ahead in the alarm protection industry.
You may already be familiar with or have alarm protection with central station monitoring via BT and it’s Redcare Signaling Service.
Please take note that BT has announced the closure of ALL its Redcare operations from 1st August 2025.
Existing customers are advised to upgrade their alarm signaling equipment prior to the specified date, utilising services provided by organisations duly accredited and approved by the insurance industry. Replacement services should ensure an equivalent performance level to the current Redcare product. We trust that your current alarm services provider has duly informed you of these forthcoming changes.
We here at LIFT-Insurance maintain a strategic partnership with Benchmark Security Group, a distinguished organisation renowned for their adherence to accreditation, compliance, and industry standards. Their esteemed reputation aligns seamlessly with our commitment to client confidentiality, a paramount consideration in any recommendation we endorse.
In the event that communication is not initiated by your current provider or if your systems are not under an ongoing service contract, it may be prudent to consider a comprehensive review and seek professional advice regarding optimal strategies for enhancing your existing protection.
Benchmark Security Group is prepared to:
- Conduct a complimentary and obligation-free survey/appraisal of your property and security infrastructure.
- Determine the extent to which existing systems may require overhaul or replacement.
- Provide transparent cost breakdowns associated with any upgrades or replacement products.
- Detail supplementary services available, including but not limited to:
- Supply and installation of safes/strong boxes, all compliant with insurance standards.
- Installation and maintenance of CCTV, intruder/fire alarms, and door access/gates.
- Mobile patrols, perimeter security, and static guarding.
It is worth considering that although these changes are not scheduled to take effect immediately, there is anticipated to be a surge in demand for the supply and installation of alternative signaling products leading up to August 2025. It is advisable to address this matter sooner rather than later.
