The LIFT-Academy was set up in 2012. As our business grew, we were keen to build a team that is driven by a desire to make a difference, and who are passionate about a long-term career in financial planning.

The LIFT-Academy is a bespoke programme which involves a comprehensive training plan, mapped across various roles within our business, enabling you to gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications needed to provide an outstanding service to our clients.

Requirements:

We invest in our young talent by recruiting and developing both graduates and school/college leavers. Whilst your academic background is important, what matters to us most are your personal qualities: professionalism, passion, enthusiasm, and a willingness to work and study hard to achieve your ambitions.

Costs:

While costs vary depending on the exams you take, we estimate that the approximate cost of reaching Chartered Financial Planner status to be approximately £7,800. We provide full financial assistance in respect of the cost of the study material and examinations for obtaining each qualification. We allow you a day’s study leave before each exam, along with the time off to take the exam. We will also pay you a bonus once you have passed each one!

Development:

As a LIFT-Academy member, you will work alongside our full team, in order to progress through the steps involved in becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. This starts off in our Administration teams to help you gain an understanding of the different products, through our Paraplanning team where you will help bring the advice to life for our clients through easy to digest comprehensive reports. Towards the end of your journey, you will be in a more client facing role, sitting in client meetings along with one of our existing Chartered Financial Planners.

Training and Support:

The five-year programme will lead you on the journey to becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. We will support you each step of the way, paying for exams and assisting with training and revision as well as incremental pay rises based on your progression.

The timescales involved in becoming a Chartered Financial Planner is approximately five years. It requires a great deal of work and dedication to commit to a full time job, whilst undertaking the studies required. We understand that people often aren’t able to fully appreciate what the process entails until they are already on the journey, or simply their priorities and aspirations change along the way.
